About
Statement of Belief
St. James Lutheran Church and School confesses the historic, orthodox Christian faith as part of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
LCMS Confession
The LCMS is a mission-oriented, Bible-based denomination confessing faith in the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Holy Trinity
With the universal Christian Church, the LCMS teaches the love of the Triune God, who created all things, redeemed the world in Christ, and brings people to faith through Word and Sacraments.
The Bible
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are confessed as the written Word of God and the only rule and norm of faith and practice.
The Lutheran Confessions
The Synod accepts the Book of Concord as a correct interpretation and presentation of biblical doctrine.
Doctrine and Practice
Member congregations agree to conform teaching and practice to Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions.
School Formation
This confession shapes the school’s understanding of truth, identity, vocation, worship, and service.
